A Deerfield, Illinois resident and Wheeling, Illinois resident have been killed today in a motorcycle accident in Wheeling, Illinois.
Justine Randall, 23, of Deerfield, and Michael Sean Meyer, 26, of Wheeling, were killed near the intersection of South Milwaukee Avenue & Center Avenue in Wheeling, according to officials.
Randall was dead on the scene; Meyer was pronounced dead at Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview at 4 a.m.
The crash is still being investigated by the Wheeling Police Department Crash Investigation Unit and the Lake County Major Crash Assistance Team.
According to Wheeling Police, Meyer was driving the motorcyle, a 2009 Suzuki. Police were sent to the scene at 3:07 a.m. Sunday morning.
Wheeling police Deputy Chief John Teevans said that his department is investigating whether another police agency had been trying to stop the motorcycle prior to the crash.
