On Monday night, at approximately 9:20 p.m., a three-car collision in Niles, Illinois injured four people, including two Niles Police officers.
Details on the accident are somewhat limited. However, here is information that is being widely reported:
The two police officers were stopped in their car at a stop sign at Washington Street and Churchill Road when two other cars collided at the intersection. In the course of the collision, the cars collided with the front driver’s side of the police car.
All injured parties were taken to Advocate Lutheran General Medical Center in Park Ridge, Illinois. None of the injuries were considered life-threatening.
According to police, citations are pending.
