There was a car rollover accident on Route 41 (Skokie Hwy.) in Highland Park, Illinois on Sunday night (June 24).
Details on the accident appear somewhat limited at this time.
The accident happened at approximately 8:00 p.m., in the northbound lanes just south of the Deerfield Road overpass.
Both the passenger and the driver were injured during the crash and are hospitalized, with the passenger still being in critical condition.

The traffic crash is being investigated by the Highland Park Police Accident Investigation Team along with the Lake County Major Crash Assistance Team and the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office. Preliminary investigation indicates that alcohol consumption may have been a contributing factor. Investigation of the crash and removal of the vehicle and debris required temporary closure of northbound lanes of Skokie Valley Road for approximately two-hours. A detour was established during the closure.
The driver of the car has been identified as Hugo Ugalde-Pacheco, 22, of Madison, Wisconsin.
The passenger’s identity has yet to be confirmed.
