There was a fatal Hit & Run accident in Zion, Illinois on Wednesday morning, October 10. The victim has been identified as Francisco Jose Avila-Castro, 20, of Waukegan.
Details regarding the accident are somewhat limited.
The Hit & Run occurred at approximately 5:15 a.m., near the intersection of 33rd Street and North Geneva Lane. Avila-Castro was walking when the accident happened, according to Zion Police.
Parts from the car damaged during the collision were found. According to Zion Police, the parts fit a red 2004-2008 Toyota Scion XB; or, they may also fit other Toyota and Lexus vehicles.
