There was a fatal vehicle accident in unincorporated Antioch this morning, involving a head-on collision between a car and gravel truck.
The accident happened at approximately 9:15 a.m. on Route 173, about 1.5 miles west of Lake Avenue.
The accident happened when the car crossed the center line and collided with the westbound truck, despite the truck driver’s attempts to avoid the accident by swerving.
The woman has been identified as Diane Robers-Glass, of Antioch, 59. She was pronounced dead at just before 10:00 a.m. at Centegra Medical Center.
Although the gravel truck overturned during the course of the accident, the truck driver was released from the hospital after getting stitches.
