Highwood Illinois Mayor Charles Pecaro Charged With DUI

According to a TribLocal Highland Park/Highwood story of September 6 titled “Highwood mayor arrested on DUI charge,” Highwood Illinois Mayor Charles Pecaro was arrested September 4th on drunk driving charges.

Highwood Mayor Charles Pecaro was arrested over the weekend on drunk driving charges in Highland Park, police said.

Pecaro, 42, of the first block of Exmoor Court, Highwood, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after he was arrested at 2:34 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 4.

An officer pulled over Pecaro’s vehicle at 1:05 a.m. near the intersection of Half Day Road and Western Avenue because it didn’t have headlights and taillights on, and it was following too closely to another vehicle on the roadway, according to Highland Park Deputy Chief David Schwarz.
