This morning’s snowfall, reported to be one-half to one inch in total accumulation, has caused slick road conditions and dozens of vehicle accidents on Chicago-area expressways and roads.
According to today’s Chicago Tribune, in an article titled “Light snow makes for slick morning commute,” Illinois State Police said they had responded to about two dozen crashes on Chicago area expressways by 7:15 a.m.
One such accident happened on the Kennedy Expressway. As seen in the aforementioned Chicago Tribune article:
Shortly after 6 a.m., a nine-car crash was reported near North Avenue on the Kennedy Expressway, but there were no reports of serious injuries.
