A pedestrian was struck while walking within a crosswalk in Highland Park, Illinois, last night (December 5, 2013.)
According to Highland Park Police, this Lake County pedestrian accident happened at approximately 5:55 p.m., in a crosswalk at the intersection of Old Deerfield Road and Richfield Avenue.
The pedestrian was taken to Highland Park Hospital with injuries considered non-life-threatening.
According to Highland Park Police, the driver was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian, as well as driving without insurance.
