There was a car accident at Route 41 and Old Elm Road in Lake Forest, Illinois on February 6. This Lake County car accident involved two cars.

A car turning left from westbound Old Elm to southbound Route 41 was struck by a second car going northbound on Route 41. The northbound car disobeyed the red light on Route 41 at Old Elm, witnessess told the Lake Forest Police. The driver, a 27 year-old male from Chicago, was cited for disobeying a red light.
The driver of the car turning onto Route 41 was a 68-year-old man. He was taken to Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital with what are reported to be minor injuries.
