Two semi trucks collided on Route 41 in Lake Bluff, Illinois, near noontime Thursday.
According to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, one truck was heading northbound on Route 41. As it was just to the north of Route 176, a dump truck slowed to make a turn, at which point the truck slowed. As the semi slowed, it was hit by a truck following it, which was attempting to go around it.
The resulting accident blocked the northbound lanes of Route 41 for several hours.
The truck driver that struck the semi ahead of him was ticketed for failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
