There were a variety of Lake County car accidents, as well other Chicagoland areas, today. Most of these vehicle accidents are being attributed to slick road conditions, some of which involved “black ice.” Overnight freezing, as well as a small amount of snow, fell on the area.
A March 13 Chicago Tribune article, titled “Light snow makes for slick commute” mentions several Chicago-area vehicle accidents, including one in Lake County termed a “major accident” at Midlothian Road and Ashbrook Drive in Mundelein.
As well, the Daily Herald article of March 13 titled “Black ice being blamed for multiple accidents this morning” mentions numerous Chicago-area vehicle accidents, including some in Lake County. The article mentions car accidents in Mundelein, Carpentersville, and the Lake Bluff area.
