An early-morning car accident in Northbrook has resulted in the death of a Mount Prospect woman in her 50s, according to officials.
Details on the accident are somewhat limited at this time.
An excerpt from a story in today’s TribLocal Northbrook titled “Woman killed in early morning car crash, 2 others injured” :
A car carrying three people collided with a vehicle occupied by just the driver at about 1:30 a.m. at Commercial Avenue and Sanders Road near the Tri-State Tollway, said Deputy Northbrook Fire Chief Ron Schinleber.
Emergency personnel extricated the passengers from the vehicles, Schinleber said. The driver from Mount Prospect was pronounced dead on the scene, he said, adding that she was in her 50s.
One of the people in the other vehicle was taken to Lutheran General Hospital, and a second was taken to Glenbrook Hospital, Schinleber said. The third person refused transportation, he said.
All three people in the other vehicle were in their 20s and from Buffalo Grove, Schinleber said.
