Beach Park “Head-On” Collision Results In Three Fatalities

A Beach Park “head-on” collision occurred early Saturday morning. This crash involving two cars resulted in three fatalities.

On December 14, 2019, at approximately 4:45AM, Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the area of Green Bay Road and Blanchard Road, Beach Park, for a traffic crash with injuries.  Sheriff’s Deputies arrived and located a 2013 Honda Civic and 2008 Nissan Altima with heavy damage.

Preliminary investigation shows the Nissan, driven by a 24-year-old male of Waukegan, was traveling northbound on Green Bay Road just south of Blanchard Road.  For an unknown reason, the driver of the Nissan crossed the center line and drove into the southbound lanes of traffic.  The front-end of the Nissan struck the front-end of the southbound Honda, driven by a 71-year-old male of Beach Park.  

The two drivers of the cars, as well as a 23-year-old female passenger in the Nissan, were declared dead at the accident scene.

This Beach Park “head-on” collision remains under investigation by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Technical Crash Investigations Unit.
