There was a head-on collision Saturday afternoon (December 26, 2015) on Route 60 in Lake Forest.
Details on the accident appear limited at this time. The cause of the accident is not discussed in media sources.
First responders were called to the accident scene (on Route 60 near Kennedy Road) at approximately 2:30 p.m.
While two cars were involved in the crash, a third vehicle hit a guard rail as its driver swerved to avoid the accident.
In all, eight people were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their accident injuries.
