Man Fatally Struck By Amtrak Train In Lake Forest, Illinois

There was a fatal train accident Sunday evening (September 8, 2014) in Lake Forest, Illinois.  The accident happened at the city’s west station, at 911 S. Telegraph Road.

Emergency responders went to the station at approximately 6:10 p.m., and found a man who had been struck by an Amtrak train that was heading south.

According to the Lake Forest Police Department, the Lake County Coroner’s Office is working to identify the man, who was declared dead at the accident scene.
