Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Freight Train In Lake Forest, Illinois

There has been a fatal train accident today (July 16, 2015) in Lake Forest, Illinois, involving a pedestrian being fatally struck by a freight train.

Details on the accident and its causes appear limited at this time.

The accident happened around 2:00 p.m., near the Lake Forest Metra station at the Lake Forest West train station at 911 South Telegraph Road.

The pedestrian was identified as an 87-year-old man.

The accident remains under investigation.
