“Head-on collisions” are highly physically traumatic to all vehicle occupants. As seen in many Chicago-area accidents of this type – including those in Lake County summarized on this site – such accidents often result in serious accident injuries. It is common for such accidents to result in one or more fatalities. As it is often difficult to predict when a vehicle will cross the center line, avoiding hitting a vehicle that has crossed the center line can be extremely difficult. Additional discussion of “head-on collisions” can be seen on the “Accidents Involving ‘Head-On Collisions’” page.
