There were two related vehicle accidents in Grayslake on Tuesday (January 5, 2016) in which three people were injured.
According to Grayslake Police, the first accident happened after a car (driven by a 25-year-old man from Ingleside) heading eastbound on Rollins Road, struck a westbound school bus as the car attempted to pass another eastbound vehicle. As a result of the collision, the school bus rolled over onto its side. Although no students were on the bus at the time of the crash, two adults suffered minor injuries. Those two adults were able to exit the bus through the rear door.
The accident happened on Rollins Road, between Hook Drive and Drury Lane. Grayslake Police went to the accident scene at approximately 8:15 a.m.
The second accident happened when an eastbound vehicle stopped on the roadway to avoid the collision described above, and it was “rear-ended” by another car.
