On Sunday (April 21, 2019) afternoon there was a truck accident on the Edens in which five people were critically injured. This wreck involved a semi truck colliding with four cars at approximately 2:17 p.m. According to the Illinois State Police (ISP) the crash happened on eastbound I-94 at mile marker 26.5, near South Pfingsten Road.

At least five people suffered life-threatening injuries after a semi-truck failed to stop and crashed into several vehicles on Interstate 94 Sunday afternoon.
According to police, the vehicles were stopped because of heavy traffic on the roadway. The semi-trailer, driven by 23-year-odl Jeffrie Baker of Chicago, failed to yield to the traffic, slamming into multiple cars.
Baker was issued a citation for failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
This Edens truck accident remains under investigation.
