Truck Crash Injures Driver

Many areas of Lake County experienced ice storms Monday (December 28, 2015) that lasted from early in the morning into the early evening.  Due to the steady nature of the storm, as well as significant accumulation, many vehicle accidents occurred.

Among the accidents was a truck crash on the Tri-State Tollway just north of Route 22 (Half Day Road).  Details on the accident appear limited at this time.

The accident involved a panel truck leaving the roadway and rolling down an embankment.

An excerpt from the Deerfield Review article of December 28, 2015 article titled “Truck accident on Edens in Deerfield injures driver” quoting Deerfield-Bannockburn Fire Protection District Deputy Chief Ray Larson:

Larson said the driver, who was the only person in the white panel truck when it left Interstate 94, sustained non-life threatening injuries before he was transported to Lake Forest Hospital by a Deerfield Bannockburn Fire Protection District ambulance.

Additional details and possible updates can be seen in a variety of media sources including the Deerfield Review article mentioned above.
